We’ve been working behind the scenes on a new refresh of the Charles + Lee website. We are designing it, to make finding the right products easier, and far less confusing.
The goal is simple: skincare without the added bull$#!t.
As highlighted in our new wireframe, the updated site is built around a clearer customer journey, simpler navigation, and stronger messaging focused on what Charles + Lee has always stood for; straightforward Aussie skincare made for men who want results without the fuss.
Simpler Navigation
One of the biggest changes is how products are organised.
Instead of overwhelming you with dozens of choices, products will be grouped into easy to understand categories:
- Skin - Cleanse, moisturise, and move on.
- Hair - Head, beard, body. You get the idea.
- Kits - Bundles of products to get you started quickly.
- Stuff Worth Knowing - Straight-talking articles and tips to help you understand your skin.
Gift Packs Are Now Kits
Let’s be honest — “gift packs” sounded a bit fancy.
Most of our customers aren’t buying these products as gifts. They’re buying them because they want an easy way to get started or stock up on the essentials.
That’s why we’re renaming gift packs to Kits.
Same great products, just bundled together in a way that makes more sense. Pick a Starter Kit or build your own setup — no complicated routines, no overthinking.
Better User Experience
The new website also includes:
- Improved product pages
- Clearer calls to action
- Easier mobile browsing
- Better subscription offers
- “Bathroom Reading” articles for useful skincare tips
- More trust-building content, including our story: “Two mates. A few beers. And an idea.”
